What a badge sticker looks like

Most often the standard badge size is 100x150mm, in portrait (vertical) orientation. Sometimes organizers make 90x145mm or 105x120mm. All individually at the discretion and at the request of the Organizer.

Rarely, but it happens landscape (horizontal) version, or other non-standard sizes. The optimal size of a sticker for a standard badge with participant data is 80x40 mm (78x40 mm). Correspondingly for horizontal ones it is 100x40 mm.

This size is enough to print the necessary data of the participant, while the font will be clearly readable from a distance and the Organizer has space for the logo and the name of the event, the logo of sponsors and other elements, because the badge of the participant is a great place for additional advertising of your sponsors and partners. And an element of handout material, which participants keep as a memento of the event.

What data to print on the participant badge

An event badge is a networking tool for attendees. It makes it much easier for participants to get to know each other when they meet each other and see at a glance what a person's name is or what company he or she represents.

Sometimes organizers print only first names on badges, but this is not very informative. The first name and surname is already the option that will better identify a person. But a badge with name, surname and company is one of the most common and most successful options for business events. In addition to the company, you can also print the position of the participant as additional information.

Therefore, each organizer chooses for himself what he wants to print, depending on the data he has collected about the participant. This could be:

Why print a QR code on badges

QR badge allows to organize networking of participants, to collect statistics on attendance of halls or separate zones of location, or vice versa, to restrict the entrance to those zones where the participant has no access depending on the ticket category. And also to collect statistics not only about the participant's entrance to the location, but also information about when the participant left the event.

If you plan to collect detailed statistics on how many participants listened to the report in Hall 1 and how many in Hall 2, then when scanning such QR code on the badge of a participant when he enters the hall, the data is recorded that this particular person went to Hall 1 at 11:00. At the end of the day, you will have complete statistics of how many participants were in the hall at any given period of time.

If you have areas where you can enter a limited number of times, for example, 1 time in the lunch area, 2 times in the area of master classes, it is also easy to control by scanning the QR code on the badges of participants.

If you want to help participants to get better acquainted with each other, such QR code will serve as a business card of the participant, and scanning each other's codes they can save contacts of the interlocutor, or immediately go to the chat room for communication, or by going to the mobile application.

QR code for networking can be of 3 kinds:

Standard - when scanning the badge, a page with the contact details of the participant whose badge is being scanned will open for participants

Custom -the organizer chooses what information about the participant to put into the QR. Most often the Telegram field is used for this purpose, where participants add their nickname. When scanning such a code, you can go directly to the Telegram chat with the person whose code you have scanned. But the organizer can choose any other data field, which will be hidden in the QR code.

АРР -This code will be used to enter a private chat with the participant in the RegToEVENT mobile app, which the organizer uses for networking to make it easier for guests to find how to contact each other after meeting.

If you know that your guests have names of companies have a lot of characters, or their positions do not fit even on 3 lines - then of course the sticker needs a larger size, as an option is suitable 100x60 mm, otherwise you need to print all the regalia of the participant in such a small font that it will be difficult to read at a distance.

At the same time, if you only have first names or first and last names printed, a huge white sticker that takes up half of the badge is unnecessary, it's better to use that space to your advantage when designing.

When designing your badge, do NOT leave white or colored margins/frames for the sticker!

Do the whole badge in the same style and color, just leaving an empty space for her, without important elements or logos.

This way it will look much better, and the sticker will be noticeable anyway.

With a high flow of people, hostesses can't always apply the sticker evenly, and a 1-2mm skew with frames will be very noticeable.

If your badge is a non-standard size or you want to make a larger/smaller, colored sticker, it is possible, discussing the layout in advance (no later than 10 working days before the event), we will be able to find the best option in the range from 20 mm to 108 mm in width.
